Guillermo Cepeda is a composer, arranger, orchestrator, and guitarist based in Quito, Ecuador. Trained at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he earned a Master’s degree in Musical Composition for Film, Television, and Video Games, his craft is rooted in the marriage of narrative and sound.

His film credits include the feature Fiebre de Motocicleta (dir. Emmanuel Blanchard), the California-produced documentary We Are Galápagos, the short films The Bicycle Fairy (dir. Gerardo Merino) and Crisálida (dir. Julia Silva), and the theater and dance work Vamos!, which premiered in Berlin, Germany.

Beyond the screen, Cepeda’s concert works include Fallen for full symphonic orchestra, Chroma, Impossible Love for string quartet, Oradour for brass quintet, and Ammit for wind quartet.

As an educator, he has taught music theory, composition, harmony, ear training, and ensemble direction for over 15 years. He is currently a professor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, part of the Berklee Global Partners network. As a guitarist, he won the National Classical Guitar Competition in Guayaquil, and has performed alongside distinguished artists including Pancho Terán, violinist Tadashi Maeda, Paulina Tamayo, and Pamela Cortés.
